Are there projects that you know how to do around the home, while some are outside of your area of knowledge? Some might shy away from working on anything plumbing related since there are some catastrophic possibilities if anything goes wrong, but as long as you are careful, you can definitely find some easy DIY projects in the bathroom. One such is replacing a showerhead.
It could be that your showerhead is leaky, outdated, ugly, or just not offering enough functionality, and you can find everything you need to replace it with something shiny and new in your hardware store or online.
Usually, you should be able to do the work without any tools, but in some cases, a pipe-wrench can come in handy.
To avoid any ugly accidents, turning the water supply off first is a good idea. It’s also important to remember to avoid using excessive force. If something appears stuck, it might be better to leave it alone and get a plumber to take a look at it.
If you can get the old showerhead removed without too much trouble, you should clean the pipe thread very well, add some fresh Teflon tape and then attach your new showerhead and enjoy the updated look.
